HOW DID YOU DISCOVER CATS?
  About one and a half year ago, I was looking for something to read at our local library. The science-fiction and fantasy shelves aren't very well-stocked, and I've already read the books we have. I wasn't in the mood for thrillers or historical fiction either so I was just about to leave. Then I walked past the video shelves and one of the new videos grabbed my attention. Mainly black with two big, yellow cat-eyes and CATS written across the facing. Under this, a group of people, dressed in weird body-suits and strange wigs.
As a definite cat-person, and all-round weird and strange guy myself, I just had to pick it up. I don't know why I decided to borrow CATS. Probably just because I rarely leave the library without something to read or watch. In this case, that habit really paid off!

SO YOU WATCHED IT A COUPLE OF TIMES?
  Oh yes. Twice that first day, then two or three times every day for nearly a month!

YOU KNOW, YOU'RE A BIT WEIRD . . .  I GUESS YOU REALLY LIKED IT?
  Yes, I did.

WHEN DID YOU START WRITING FAN-FICs THEN?
  I'm not quite sure... I think it was in July -99, but I'm not sure. At least three months after seeing CATS for the first time.

WHAT MADE YOU START?
  I was working (actually, I was supposed to be working, but my boss was out...), and I was bored. So I decided to see what I could find on the web about CATS. One thing lead to another, and I finally ended up on Exploring the unknown. As Chance and Luck would have it, the first (and only) fan-fic I read was Confusion and Conclusions by Gintora and Paxsar.
This fan-fic is really something! The characterization and dialog was just the way I'd envisioned the Jellicles. Later, the same day, I started on my very first fan-fic. I called it The Visitor and got the first chapter posted on Exploring the unknown.

WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF IT?
  Well, right now I'm not writing much, but I've written chapter two of The Visitor, and a few more stories. A short story about Mako, one of my own characters, and how he joined the Jellicles. It's called The Unknown Battles and can be found on this site. I also started another storyline set after The Unknown Battles, but before The Visitor, which I have called The New Kitten.
